anyone remember what the 3 "secret sins" were, that the gb counselled us on in the late 80's & early 90's.

we were admonished to turn ourselves in if we were guilty so "da elders" could help us deal with them.

in all seriousness, i would like to know from anybody in this forum if anybody on here had ever experienced such an "annointing".

even though i do not believe in the tower and its teachings for a couple of years now, i would always question the supposed "feelings" an "annointed" person was suupposed to have.

in light of younger people claiming to be of this "annointed class" in recent years, i question their motive and all of those that were older which were most likely "annointed'".. thanks

These changes are not flip flops they are paradigm shifts.

Although I agree with your overall statement regarding paradigm shifts, I disagree with your disagreement of my statement re 'flip flops' (say what?). In order for there to be a paradigm shift, there has to be support for the theory....my point was when Mendel's findings came out, initially there was absolutely no support from the Darwinists. Mendel's theory became the 'dog wagging the tail' and eventually the dog got in step with the tail.

Hi P.L. and Welcome...

I'm one of the few 'non-JW's' on this site and I always find people's stories facinating. Just a curiosity question: Were either of your parents converts? (If so, that might make a difference as to their outlook...even though what they portray to you might be different....in other words, they've seen the other side of the world, and it's not as black and white as JW's make it appear.) Again, just curious.

Stick with the site...there's a lot of great people here with good 'life experience' advice.

there i was, enjoying a lovely warm morning in sunny winscombe in deepest somerset whilst working on a clients roof, when out of the corner of my eye i espied 3 ladies sauntering up the road at a leisurely 0.5mph.

aha, i thought, that looks like the pioneer crawl, there's dubs on the horizon!

i had my car parked in the customers driveway, so i thought to myself "why not take a break now, sit in the car and munch my blt, and see if they approach?".
